You’re getting sleepy

Published on October 26, 2006

I have to admit, Lost is getting a little boring. Now I enjoyed the second season. And I enjoyed the beginning of this season. I don’t really care that the writers don’t seem to have a plan and are making it up as they go. But the last few episodes have […]

It has begun

Published on October 25, 2006

Ryan Hecht’s Acting Career 2.0 has officially begun.  I went to my first EPA with my new headshots today.  Aaannnddd…it went ok.  For some reason that audition center makes me nervous.  I get much more nervous than any other place I audition.  Well, I’m going to conquer that.  The monologue actually didn’t go so badly.  […]

Robbers Uncover the Cursed Tombs of Ancient Egyptian Dentists

Published on October 24, 2006

The tombs were 4,000 years old and located near the Step Pyramid of King Djoser. An inscription near one of the tombs warned that anyone who violated it would be eaten by a crocodile and a snake. The thieves are presumably in jail.

Weird Al: White, nerdy, and here to stay [from digg]

Published on October 23, 2006

It’s time to congratulate the man who once rewrote Paul McCartney’s “Live and Let Die” as “Chicken Pot Pie.” Weird Al Yankovic, satirical pop-goblin and parody merchant, has not simply endured but triumphed: His new album, “Straight Outta Lynwood”, shot into the Billboard Top 10 upon its release last month–his highest chart placing since the […]

The wife and I and Abby participated in the Memory Walk in Riverside Park this morning. They both walked in honor of their grandmothers.

We got there at 8:45am but the walk didn’t officially start until 11. There was a lot of hoopla and loud salsa music so we decided to head off and […]

And the test is good

Published on October 20, 2006

So the test print for my new headshot looked good. Although, quite honestly, I never know what to look for with these things. But, to me, it looked like the retouched print that was done last Friday. So I gave the go ahead for them to print out 100. So excited. […]

Just a test.

Tomorrow is test day

Published on

Quick post here.  Its late and I’ve spent the last two hours widgetizing this blog instead of going to bed.  Morning Ryan is going to be pissed at nighttime Ryan once again.
I’m checking out the test of my headshot tomorrow.  They are printing it on heavy paper which supposedly means I’ll be able to print […]

Well, that sucked.  3 game sweep.  I ended up going to both games at Shea which, considering the Dodgers lost both of them, turned out to be a rather horrific experience.  The ride home on the 7 train, packed with Mets fans, was not much either.  I’m hoping the Mets lose to the Cards.  Right […]

Postseason for the Dodgers begins today.  At Shea Stadium at 4pm.  Derek Lowe faces “?”.  The Mets Game 1 starer, Orlando Hernandez, may be out with an injured calf.  The Mets may start John Maine who I think is a rookie.  Looks like we have a good shot to win although I would hate for […]
